Oh, no: so much for one of my planned rides for 2012. L'Eroica's 800 places for foreign riders under 60 are all gone on the first day of registration. They were gone by noon on March 1, European time, so no chance for me here in Canada this week. At least there are lots of other places to ride so perhaps we will organize a non-official Classic ride somewhere.

There will be 2 other opportunities to get into L'Eroica, but it was cost a bit more. On 15 May, exclusively on the website www.eroica-ciclismo.it, 100
places will be made available at the higher price of €100;
On 6 August, exclusively on the website www.eroica-ciclismo.it, an
additional 100 places will be made available at the higher price of
130€;
Or you can do what about 1000 other people do that didn't get in, ride it anyway, just don't ride through the start/finish chute. I rode the entire course a few years ago in the front group except for the first and last 100 meters.
